Major congratulations to our very own Axelle Kamanzi Shimwa and Kristen Tuosto for their induction in the Bouchet society. This graduate honor society recognizes doctoral students of color who not only are making major strides in their field but are also committed to DEI work and serve as examples of scholarship, leadership, character, service, and advocacy for those who have been traditionally underrepresented in the academy. We’re so very proud of them and all their work to improve our community 💕💕

Right now on the national mall this art installation shows the magnitude of loss in America by honoring those who have died from COVID-19. We are grateful for the chance to collectively mourn these lives and the many more impacted by the pandemic. Special thanks to our gw anth volunteers and for their work on this project.
