I also was president of IFC, started Kappa Delta Pi (an education honor society), was recruitment chair for the National Education Association campus chapter, and was a senator for our Student Government Association, serving as chair of the Appropriations and Student Affairs committees. In addition to these on-campus roles, I was also the Province Zeta treasurer. Moseley Leadership Schools and was part of the first ambassador group in 2003. I have also been on faculty for the school twice, and have been a faculty member at many regional leadership schools. I served on the Extension Advisory Committee for 4 years, and am completing a term on the Fraternity Laws Committee. I have also been at every National Convention since 2001. In 2007, I became the Province Gamma Archon and served in that capacity for 7 years. I have also been the Deputy Archon twice. During my time as Province Archon, the first Ritual Institute was held in Richmond (2009) and our province started an Emerging Leaders Retreat for sophomores. Our province has added five new chapters since I joined the Province Council in 2005. Since 2004, I have served as chapter adviser to Washington City Rho (George Washington University) and I sit on the Washington City Eta Sigma (Georgetown) advisory board. I have also served as the President for the DC Alumni Association since 2004. The Association hosts two featured events each year: Founder's Day which sees an attendance of 70 each year at our current ESA's home, and the Capitol Hill Reception which sees an attendance of 30 and has been held since 2005. I have lived and worked in Washington, DC since 2003. I started in the office of a U.S. Senator, then worked for the government relations department of John Deere. I now work in government relations for the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association. In my professional role, I run a political action committee, grassroots program, and advocate for public policy issues in the areas of transportation, infrastructure, agriculture, and international affairs. I am a member of, and volunteer at, the Cathedral of St. Matthew in Washington and I also serve as a mentor to incoming students at Fort Hays.
