Tonight’s class was an invitation to self-expression. We took the foundational movements of the and everyone got the opportunity to perform an improvised free-flowing dance. I came to teach feeling less than 100% physically and finished a badass 90 minute practice in a split leg floating plank>peacock, a transition I’ve hardly given much effort to over the years, and often watched in wonder as pulled it off with ease and grace. The point of the practice is that it’s always got another layer, another challenge, another confrontation with yourself. Just like life. The way I do one thing tells me a lot about the way I do all things. Osu.

Last day of first grade! Proud . This kid learned to read and write in Spanish and English, after changing cities, schools and homes multiple times to keep up with our crazy life! Zipporah is so dynamic, flexible, joyful and cool! Here in New Orleans, she takes Piano lessons, circus camp, ballet conservatory and she’s a mean bike rider.
