What an exciting milestone for Eaton Athletics! Our first Cross Country cohort competed in the 20th Annual DCIAA Lafayette Invitational at Colmar Manor Community Park in Maryland, and our student-athletes showed up ready to represent Eaton!
Our runners took on the course with determination, perseverance, and tremendous school spirit. We are especially excited to celebrate two Eaton student-athletes who finished in the Top 15 and earned medals! 🥇 This is an incredible accomplishment, particularly as we launch our very first Cross Country team.
While we are proud of those individual achievements, we are equally proud of every student who competed. Our Eagles challenged themselves, supported their teammates, pushed through the course, and crossed the finish line knowing they had given their best effort. Their performance was a wonderful example of what it means to persevere, work as a team, and proudly represent the Eaton community.
A huge thank-you goes to our Athletic Director, Theodore Smith, along with Coaches Bruch, Trowbridge, and Stark. Coach Stark is also an Eaton parent and substitute teacher, making this truly a community effort. We are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, encouragement, and dedication they have invested in developing and supporting our inaugural Cross Country cohort.
Congratulations to all of our Eaton runners on a fantastic first meet! Our Eagles showed up, competed, and made us proud—and this is only the beginning! ❤️🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃
