Fine Motor Friday is BACK‼️

We’re excited to bring back Fine Motor Friday! Fine motor skills involve the small muscles in the hands, fingers, and wrists that children use for everyday tasks like writing, buttoning, cutting, building, and feeding themselves.

Each Friday, our Preschool learners will participate in fun, hands-on activities that help strengthen hand-eye coordination, finger strength, dexterity, and independence all while learning through play! 💙

We kicked off our Fall Into Reading initiative this month, and we want to send a BIG thank you to all of the amazing parents and guardians who came in and shared a story with our little learners! 🧡📖

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
