Strengthening Connections for IEEE AESS-GRSS Philippines 🇵🇭🛰️🌏

The IEEE Philippines AESS-GRSS Joint Chapter was represented at the IEEE GRSS President’s Dinner, providing an opportunity to meet and engage with Dr. Saibun Tjuatja, President of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS), and Dr. Braham Himed, President of the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS).

The discussions explored possible activities and collaborations for the Joint Chapter in the Philippines, including technical programs, student and young professional engagement, capacity-building initiatives, distinguished lectures, and stronger connections with the international GRSS and AESS communities.

These engagements open opportunities to further strengthen the local community and create more avenues for Filipino students, researchers, academics, and professionals to participate in IEEE activities in geoscience, remote sensing, aerospace, and space systems.

We look forward to translating these conversations into meaningful activities and collaborations for the Philippine community.
