Since the 1990s, (now a member of NATO) has aided — the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism which still targets American bases in the Middle East and US allies in the region. Croatia is fueling through its investments in .

American soldiers, Europeans and Israelis have been killed by Iran and its proxies who gained financial resources through its cooperation with countries such as Croatia. Time for accountability!

1. “Cooperation between Iran and Croatia is at a favorable level, but not satisfactory and there are still grounds for more ties. Although we have an eye on more cultural relations, today visit puts special emphasis on more economic relations,” said Grabar-Kitarovic. “I believe that this morning meeting and the meeting we will have in the afternoon with Chamber of Commerce will contribute to enhancement of relations and further investments.”

2. In calling for an expansion of cooperation with Iran, Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic, Croatia’s President in 2018 said, “We are ready to expand relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran especially in spheres of tourism, science and technology and petrochemistry.” — The Tehran News on March 2, 2018.

3. "Plenkovic and Zarif underlined traditionally good relations and the need to advance economic cooperation between the two countries, a press release from the government said. 4. “Croatian National Bank has called all the country’s banks to remove existing barriers on the way to expand banking ties with Iran.” — Croatian Deputy Prime Minister Martina Dalic, Tehran Times, May 8, 2018 (during the Croatian government official’s visit to Tehran and speaking at the Iran-Croatia Business Forum).

4. On March 6, 2026, HINA, Croatia’s news agency stated that Gary Koren, Israeli Ambassador to Zagreb raised serious concerns that the Croatian government should check the staff of the Iranian embassy in Zagreb because “there could be members of the Revolutionary Guard there with the task of gathering intelligence and supporting terrorism.”
