“I have a hard time finding content ideas”

When I was a Beauty Editor at Essence.com, I knew that every season, I would be writing about the exact same topics. For example, every single summer, I wrote about SPFs for brown skin, and every spring I wrote a gift guide for Mother’s Day.

I think you get where I’m going here…I had to come up with content ideas that were timely and relevant. And yet they were the very same topics we had written about the year before.

There is no such thing as redundancy on social media when you are positioning yourself as an expert!

If beauty blogging and creating content is your side-hustle, it's time to get to work!

There are 52 weekends in a year, which tallies to 104 days. That’s 28% of your entire year! You can DEFINITELY build a successful business from your beauty content in 28% of your year!

Transparency moment: I work a LOT on weekends. I love the work I do and most times beauty doesn't feel like "work." I use my weekends to do the more creative tasks in my business such as design, visual planning, or research. Even browsing through beauty magazines is "work" for me because I'm looking for editorial inspiration, learning about new products, and staying on top of what's new in beauty!

If you desire to create beauty content or blog full time, it's important that you're using your "28% time" wisely! Your time is the most valuable investment in your business.
