๐ The APAICS Youth Leadership Academy, in collaboration with the Close Up - Washington D.C. Educational Programs, brought together a passionate group of high school students to learn more about government and public policy issues impacting the Asian American & Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AA & NH/PI) community.
๐๏ธ Held in Washington, DC, the week-long program gave students the unique opportunity to visit Capitol Hill, engage in leadership workshops, tour federal institutions, and hear directly from AA & NH/PI leaders working in the White House and Congress. From participating in mock Congress to bonding with peers across the country, these young changemakers walked away with a better understanding of public service and how they can participate in government.
Weโre so proud of these next generations of leaders and grateful to everyone who helped make the program a success! ๐
