The TOEFL test is one that tests and evaluates a personβs English. Itβs accepted by over 9,000 institutions across the world including almost all the top universities in the United States. The exam is particularly important for those who are applying to English speaking universities from foreign countries.
TOEFL tests a variety of skills. Each section will need separate preparation. The following advice is for everyone and can even help those who speak English fluently.
π Reading
Read English texts, books, and passages at least 30 minutes each day
Any new or unfamiliar words should be looked up and added to your vocabulary
Analyze the text youβre reading and understand the insinuations hidden in it
π Listening and Speaking:
Watch English speaking movies, shows, and videos
Talk to friends in English or try to find a study partner you can communicate with in English over video chat
Familiarize yourself with different American accents
βοΈ Writing:
Your writing should get better as you read more
Write passages and articles and get otherβs opinions on them
Check your writings for grammar and spelling mistakes
ποΈββοΈ Practice, practice, and practice:
There are plenty of TOEFL study guides and books with hundreds of practice questions that represent the exam
Time yourself in each section and make sure you finish with time to spare

Now, more than ever is very important to keep ourselves motivated and focus on productive learning. We prepared 10 tips for a better learning process.
π Work Out: memory and cognitive processing are improved after a single 15-minute exercise session.
π Eat PUFAs (Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids): Omega3, walnuts, peanuts, and chia and pumpkin seeds --> crucial for brain function, and drink enough water.
π Sleep: a sleep-deprived person cannot focus as much as a well-rested person. But also sleep itself has a role in the consolidation of memory.
π Set an agenda
π Find a friend/accountability partner, it will help you to stay focused and motivated
π Donβt Be Afraid to Fail, it's a chance to learn.
π Be Confident
π Compressing: Try to fit everything on a 2-pager. Use rhymes, colors and write down only the important things. Try avoiding writing the whole paragraph.
π Do One Thing At a Time
π Test Yourself: or (even better) have a classmate or friend ask the questions. You will get a bigger picture of where to spend more time and which topics you already master.

Today, access to Honor Classes is more flexible, and any student can apply just with a letter of recommendation from their teachers, but they are also expected to be able to maintain a grade of B or more during regular classes.
When it comes to students to do harder courses, we can ask ourselves why they would accept to take classes that will require them to do more work. Here we listed some of the reasons that make Honor Classes in High School a desirable choice.
β
Honor Classes look good in university admission applications
β
They may help students secure a scholarship
β
Students may be bored in regular classes
β
Honor Classes make the transition to college work smoother
β
Students will learn to manage their time and workload
β
Honor Classes boost studentsβ GPA
Many students often mention that taking Honor Classes has helped them organize their time better and more efficiently β³
Since the workload is bigger and the pace of the lessons much faster, they need to learn how to deal with deadlines and how to manage different subjects at once.
This skill is extremely valuable for high school students to be able to deal with their future academic workload and responsibilities. While this is an indirect benefit of taking Honor courses, it should not be overlooked or underestimated.
βΌοΈ But taking too many Honor Classes may actually make you look less attractive as an applicant for a university course. Why? Well, if students take more than they can handle, it shows a lack of understanding of their own limitations and abilities, which can even be detrimental in terms of general grades
