On November 11, during the Independence March in Warsaw, a large banner with the inscription "Intermarium" appeared: https://wb24.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/7449e974-35f0-4570-83e2-5726c1dc47cb.jpg

We can see on it a slogan "Our strength in Unity" and many symbols referring to the idea of Intermarium. On the left, we can see crossed out: sw****ka, sickle and hammer, the Russian Z, and the flag of the Russian Empire. On the right, we see a shield with the Lithuanian Vytis, the Ukrainian Archangel Michael, and the Polish Eagle.

The organizers of the column were Belarusian Oppositionists from the RUCH association and the Polish Mlode Kresy foundation. As they emphasized, they refer to the tradition of the Polish First Republic (Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth), which united all the nations participatied in the march.

"Especially since in the ranks of our organization we have Poles coming from Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus and Ukraine. We believe that in today's unstable times, when Russian imperialism poses a threat to Eastern European countries, it is worth organizing and promoting such initiatives," said the organizers.

The Intermarium is a historical and geopolitical term referring to the lands between the Black Sea and the Baltic Sea. And between Germany and Russia. It is of strategic importance for the security and balance of power in Europe and the world.
