At 55 H St. NW, Georgetown University's Capitol Campus residence hall for grad students and undergrads, in-residence Community Director Dillon Linder is the ultimate good neighbor.

"I see myself as a bridge builder between where students are and where they hope to go," Linder said.

Linder, a Residential Living staff member, hosts residence hall programming, connects students to resources around Georgetown and DC and creates a supportive environment for all at 55 H.

"When you have a neighbor who’s a medical student and their roommate’s a law student, and then you have people in public policy, you have undergrads who also look up to these students who have mission and ambition," Linder said. "I think it really does create a culture of change."

Ten Georgetown graduate students in programs spanning policy, business, security and law have been named fellows of the Bryce Harlow Foundation for the 2026-27 academic year.

The fellowship recognizes outstanding part-time graduate students who are pursuing careers in advocacy through government relations and lobbying. For the second year in a row, Georgetown is the most highly awarded institution for fellows.

"To me, being a fellow means exemplifying integrity and valuing evidence-based reasoning throughout the advocacy and policy-making processes,” said Tyler Littlejohn (G’29), a 2026 fellow and Master of Public Policy candidate at the McCourt School of Public Policy - Georgetown University.

Through Georgetown University's Global Health Student Fellows program, M.S. in Global Health student Anees Baig (G’26) spent the previous school year analyzing state-level clinical service capacities across Nigeria's 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

His research found that where patients live shapes their access to different primary care services and the quality of care at those clinics. Baig also identified disparities in care for non-communicable diseases, including chronic conditions, underscoring a country-wide need to support patients across the spectrum of life-saving primary care.

"I hope this work contributes to more nuanced, state-specific strategies for strengthening primary health care so that resources and technical assistance are directed to the gaps that matter most for maternal, child and chronic disease outcomes," Baig said. "By making subnational disparities visible, I hope to support policymakers, implementing partners and advocates who are working toward more equitable service delivery."
