👨‍👧 Where Are They Now? A Father’s Commitment to His Daughter’s Future

When Michael Cameron began searching for an early learning environment for his daughter Amour, he wanted more than childcare he wanted a place that could support her unique developmental needs while empowering their family.

In early 2026, Michael enrolled three-year-old Amour in the National Children’s Center (NCC)® Early Learning and Early Intervention Center (ELC) a program designed to support early childhood education, developmental growth, and family engagement.

From the start, Michael noticed the difference.

At NCC® our intentional approach combines structured learning, early intervention services, and family-centered support, helping children build essential life skills including:

✔ Communication
✔ Emotional regulation
✔ Social interaction

Today, Amour is thriving. She engages with peers, participates in the curriculum, and continues reaching key developmental milestones.

“NCC® provided guidance, resources, and a network that gave me confidence in the decisions I was making for my daughter.” — Michael Cameron

Stories like Amour’s demonstrate the powerful impact of early childhood education, early intervention programs, and strong family partnerships.

💚 Community support is what drives real change.

On March 19, 2026, members of the Golf Club & The Bailey Media Group partnered with National Children’s Center (NCC)® to support our Power the Palate Grocery Drive, part of our Food is Medicine initiative.

This initiative focuses on engagement, education, and empowerment, helping families throughout the D.C. Metropolitan Region gain access to fresh fruits, vegetables, and nutritious foods that support healthy living.

With the help of these dedicated volunteers, grocery bags filled with healthy food essentials were packed and distributed to families in our community.

Every bag represents something powerful:

✔ Access to nutritious food
✔ Support for family wellness
✔ A community that cares

Together, we continue to help individuals LIVE. GROW. WORK. THRIVE.®

💚 Thank you to the Black Golf Club members & The Bailey Media Group for giving back and supporting families in our community.

⚠️ DC Child Care Under Pressure Advocacy is Critical!

On March 18, 2026, families, early educators, providers, and advocates gathered at the Wilson Building for “A Day Without DC Child Care Rally”, highlighting the freeze on new childcare subsidy enrollment and recent budget cuts to the Pay Equity Fund, which increase strain on families and educators across DC.

When childcare access is at risk:

• Educators experience increasing pressure

National Children’s Center (NCC)® proudly stood alongside the community.

Representing NCC:

• Terrance King — President & CEO
• Alisa Norris — Teacher
• Roniece Hall — Teacher Assistant
• Lajuan D***s — Teacher Assistant
• Bryana Brooks — Teacher Assistant

Together, we advocate to strengthen early childhood education in DC, ensuring children, families, and educators thrive.

🚀 AI is advancing quickly but leadership, trust, and human judgment remain irreplaceable.

Last Thursday, March 5, National Children’s Center (NCC)® and the Thursday Afterwork Group (TAG) hosted “The New Standard: A Masterclass in AI, Business, and Flow,” bringing together leaders across healthcare, finance, government, and technology throughout the DC Metropolitan Region.

The evening explored how Artificial Intelligence is transforming executive leadership, innovation, and decision-making across industries.

Key insights from the discussion:

🔹 AI creates efficiency but human compassion, curiosity, and creativity remain essential.
🔹 AI delivers data and probabilities, but leaders provide judgment and accountability.
🔹 AI adoption is not just a technology challenge it is a leadership responsibility.

As we recognize Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, conversations like these are essential. Innovation must continue to expand accessibility, opportunity, and inclusion for individuals with developmental disabilities across our communities.

A sincere thank you to our moderator Derek McGinty and our distinguished panelists:

• Dr. William R. Underwood — American Medical Association
• Shauna Jones, MBA, PMP, CRISC, CIPP/US, AIGP — Citi
• James McCool — Former NGA Senior Executive / McCool Team LLC
• Dr. Dallas A. Lea II — Healthcare Innovation & Strategy Expert
• Terry Speigner — President & CEO, NGEN, LLC
• Redha M. — CEO, FSi Strategies Inc.
• Todd O'Boyle — Executive Director of U.S. AI and Data Policy, JPMorgan Chase

We also extend our appreciation to our sponsors LawMD Chartered, NGEN LLC, and Coastal Healthcare Services, and to Marcus Johnson for an incredible live performance that closed the evening.

💬 Question for leaders:

How do you believe Artificial Intelligence will shape leadership and decision-making over the next decade?
