Classes have officially ended, exams are in full swing, and 8th grade graduation is just around the corner. Before the hallways empty for the summer, the San Miguel community would like to take a moment to thank our teachers and staff members for their early mornings, late nights, unwavering encouragement, and deep love for our mission. Without the incredible individuals that make up our staff and faculty, San Miguel's mission to Transform Lives Through Education would remain just a dream. Thank you for who you are and everything you do!
We would also like to thank our San Miguel parents and PTA for spending the time and effort it to make our teachers feel seen and appreciated!

There's no better way to celebrate the end of the school year than with Field Day!
San Miguel students spent all day last Friday outdoors competing in tug-of-war, dodgeball, relay races, and a soccer tournament for the coveted House Cup. What house were you rooting for?
Swipe to the end to see which house won the House Cup!

As our class of 2026 wraps up their final exams and attends their very last Community Meeting as San Miguel students, our community pauses to reflect on their incredible growth over the last three years.
During retreat week, our 8th grade spent two days at Loyola Retreat House hearing inspiring testimonies from teachers, discussing their transitions to high school, and taking time to pray and reflect with gratitude. Of course, they also enjoyed fun and fellowship!
While they've grown taller and stronger, it's their shared experiences of grit, character, and brotherhood that will prepare them for their next chapters.

San Miguel's annual Candle Lighting Ceremony serves as a another stop on the journey of our 8th grade class as they head swiftly toward graduation. With each new candle lit, our faculty and staff recounted a special virtue - integrity, courage, hope, gratitude, love, and friendship - that has helped formed each Miguel Man along his way.
We wish our 8th graders good luck on their exams this week and are so proud of the admirable young men they have become!

San Miguel was honored to welcome ex Navy SEAL, Max Grant, to our school yesterday for a campus tour and a chat with our Miguel Men.
Mr. Grant's inspiring words encouraged our students to make good decisions while they're still young, envision the men they want to be in their futures, work hard for the people they admire, and never let their circumstances determine future successes.
Thank you for visiting and thank you for your service, Mr. Grant!

Today, we celebrate Founder’s Day and honor St. John Baptist de La Salle. On this day in 1950, he was declared the Patron Saint of All Those Who Work in the Field of Education.
More than 300 years ago, De La Salle transformed education and helped shape what we now recognize as the modern school system. What's more, he believed that a child’s future should not be determined by the circumstances into which he was born. At San Miguel, we believe this too.
If De La Salle’s vision inspires you, we invite you to become part of that mission today by supporting our school. The work isn't finished - join us in transforming lives today: https://www.sanmigueldc.org/lasallianfund

For the 7th grade retreat this year, our Miguel Men gathered on campus to learn some life skills that will serve them for the rest of their lives. The 7th grade specifically learned about emotional regulation, respecting others who have differing interests and opinions, and reflecting on how to use these skills in their futures.
Of course, the day was not complete without some fun! Our Miguel Men also enjoyed playing capture the flag and partaking in a special scavenger hunt designed by Ms. Catie Cornell.
