Coaches Ms. Babcock and Mr. Sanchez shared the many benefits of running for our students. They highlighted how the sport fosters discipline and prepares them for life with integrity and determination.
"La práctica del cross-country, que contribuye a la sana formación física y mental de los estudiantes de la Escuela San Miguel, es una actividad deportiva que disciplina a los jóvenes y los motiva a prepararse para la vida con mayor integridad y determinación."
We’re so grateful for this recognition and are proud to spotlight some amazing members of our community!

Last week, San Miguel students embraced a cherished tradition: the camping trip! 🏕️ During this adventure, they engaged in subject-based activities for STEM and humanities, explored arts and crafts like bracelet making, enjoyed hikes, and participated in a meaningful reflection. This trip is always filled with fun, great food, and community bonding. Despite weather-related challenges, this year's trip was a fantastic success!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make it possible—our dedicated parent volunteers, faculty, and administration. We couldn’t have done it without your hard work! 🙌✨ Thank you for all you do for the boys!

Our Story
San Miguel School serves 90 at-risk children in grades six through eight. During their early years, our students encounter many obstacles to their education, including poverty, unstable homes, low-performing schools, language difficulties, and violent neighborhoods. San Miguel inspires these young men to rise above their challenges and become serious students and responsible citizens.
San Miguel students and their families live at, or well below, the poverty level. Many do not receive adequate academic support at home because their parents have limited formal education or English-language skills. San Miguel School strives to build a strong support network for each student’s family and encourages their participation in their sons’ education.
In the academically-rigorous, nurturing, and faith-filled environment of San Miguel, these at-risk children are achieving remarkable success. Although most children are academically two grade levels behind when they arrive at San Miguel, most graduate with above grade-level skills and knowledge. 100 percent of our graduates have been accepted into college preparatory high schools and many of our early graduates are now enrolled in college.
This academic progress is accompanied by physical, emotional, moral, and spiritual growth. When you enter a classroom at San Miguel School, you will meet alert, kind, and respectful young adults who are enthusiastic about learning and committed to helping their others in their school and community.
