//TW: Mentions of sexual violence and assault in the following caption. //
April 27th is Denim Day- on this day we honor and stand with survivors of sexual assault in remembrance an 1992 Italian Supreme Court case in which an 18 year old Italian female was assaulted by her driving instructor. The case was appealed and the Court determined the assault as consensual because “her jeans were too right”. In response to this, women of the Italian Parliament wore jeans and Denim Day began.
Wear your denim today to support survivors and use the tags in the post to share resources with others!
