๐ŸŽ“๐ŸŒŸ Exciting News from the Social Justice School! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ“š

As we begin this school year with excitement and optimism, it is with immense pride and joy that we share some of our scholar-activistsโ€™ achievements over the last two years. Swipe to see the incredible results! ๐Ÿ™Œ

๐Ÿ“ˆ Remarkable Academic Progress: We're thrilled to announce that our school witnessed the highest increase in PARCC proficiency for a middle school in Ward 5, both for English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics! This is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and resilience of our scholar-activists, educators, and the community that supports them.

๐Ÿค Empowering Scholar-Activists: At the heart of our mission is the belief that education and activism go hand in hand. It's deeply gratifying to share that an overwhelming 97% of our scholar-activists participated in a social justice learning expedition this past year. Together, we're nurturing conscious citizens who will shape the future.

๐Ÿ“Š Inspiring Year-to-Year Growth: From the School Year 2021-2022 to 2022-2023, we've seen a 15-point increase in the percentage of our students scoring Level 3 and above. This growth showcases the relentless spirit of our scholar-activists and our educatorsโ€™ unyielding belief in their potential.

We're immensely grateful to each one of you for believing in our vision, for your continuous support, and for being an integral part of this journey. As we gear up for another year of learning and growth, we're motivated more than ever to ensure that our scholar-activists continue to thrive, break barriers, AND champion social justice.
