🔥🧠✨ BARD IS BUILDING WHOLE SCHOLARS — MIND, BODY & FUTURE READY ✨🧠🔥

Today, Bard High School Early College DC hosted an incredible 2026 Mental Health Summit & Career Fair — and the impact was POWERFUL.

From engaging with mental health professionals to connecting with career leaders across industries, our students experienced what it truly means to be supported, seen, and prepared for what’s next. 💼💡

This wasn’t just an event — this was a movement.

Our students leaned into conversations about wellness, self-awareness, and resilience, while also exploring pathways for college, careers, and life beyond Bard. Because at Bard, we believe:
➡️ You can’t achieve at a high level if you’re not well.
➡️ You can’t dream big if you’re not exposed.

This experience directly aligns with the DCPS 2023–2028 Strategic Plan:
✔️ Connected to School – Students felt a deep sense of belonging and support
✔️ Prepared for What’s Next – Real-world exposure to careers and postsecondary pathways
✔️ Accelerating Achievement – Removing barriers so students can thrive academically and emotionally

A HUGE shoutout to our mental health professionals, community partners, and staff who curated an experience that centered our students holistically. 👏🏾💙

At Bard, we don’t just educate — we empower. We don’t just teach content — we develop people.

Families, if you are looking for a school where your child will be challenged, supported, and prepared for greatness…

👉🏾 Bard High School Early College DC is THE place to be.

🏀✨ A LEGEND WALKED THROUGH BARD TODAY ✨🏀

Today, Bard High School Early College DC had the honor of welcoming NBA legend John Wall alongside DCPS Chancellor Lewis Ferebee — and the impact was REAL.

From powerful conversations about life, perseverance, college, and the journey beyond high school, to lessons on what it truly means to be a great person in society — our students were inspired in every way possible. And to top it off… John Wall took photos with EVERY student and gifted autographed posters — a moment they’ll never forget. 📸🔥

We are incredibly grateful to the John Wall Foundation for pouring into our students and leaving a lasting mark on our school community. This wasn’t just a visit… this was motivation, exposure, and legacy in action.

At Bard, we don’t just teach — we connect our students to greatness. 💫

☀️🌿 BARD STUDENTS BACK OUTSIDE! 🌿☀️

With Daylight Savings Time here and warmer weather rolling in, Bard High School Early College DC took full advantage of the beautiful day by bringing lunch back outside!

Students enjoyed the warm breeze, relaxing on the lawn, laughing with friends, and just being kids again. From laying in the grass to running around the field, the energy was exactly what our scholars needed to recharge for the rest of the day.

Fresh air, sunshine, movement, and community — all things that help boost mood and release those feel-good vibes that make the day better after lunch. 🌞

Moments like this remind us that school is not just about academics — it’s also about joy, connection, and creating space for students to simply be young.

Another beautiful day at the BEST high school in DCPS! 🖤

✨👑 Daughters of Purpose Pinning Ceremony 👑✨

Bard High School Early College DC witnessed something truly powerful — the Daughters of Purpose Pinning Ceremony, a beautiful moment celebrating leadership, sisterhood, and the brilliance of our young women. Surrounded by love, encouragement, and community, these scholars were honored for stepping into their purpose and committing to excellence in both character and leadership.

The energy in the room was unforgettable — a reflection of what happens when young women are empowered, affirmed, and supported to lead with confidence and purpose. Moments like this remind us that Bard is not just a school… it’s a community that cultivates the next generation of powerful leaders.

To our Daughters of Purpose — continue to walk boldly, lead proudly, and shine brightly. The future is yours. 💫
