The most important song I’ve ever wrote.
We are a UChapter of TWLOHA at the George Washington University. We work to spread awareness about mental health and let students know they are not alone.
GW TWLOHA is a University Chapter of To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA), a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery. As a UChapter of TWLOHA, we strive to embody and share the mission of TWLOHA on the George Washington University campus.

Join us tomorrow as we table before the GW Orchestra's performance celebrating veterans and their service to our country! As a student organization that seeks to bring hope to those suffering from mental illness, it is important for us to include our peers who have served.
Today, we introduce our fifth concert partner: To Write Love On Her Arms - GWU Chapter.
We are a UChapter of To Write Love On Her Arms at the George Washington University. We work to spread awareness about mental illness and let students know they are not alone.
As part of the OneGW team, TWLOHA helped raise over $100 for the team's overall contribution of over $4,000 at the 2017 Annual Out of Darkness Walk for Su***de Prevention.

What an incredible day yesterday was! The One GW team was one of the top fundraisers at the Out of the Darkness Walk. While we may have raised over $3,000, donations are still being accepted until December. Yesterday, we learned that the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention uses these funds in the local DC/MD/VA area, which is incredible because the money donated goes directly towards funding school programs and training peer support groups for the local communities we live in.
Thank you all for the support, and we look forward to participating next year!

"I am angry but I am not afraid. Because I know that you no longer have the power. That you are outnumbered and outflanked by good, grace and grit. That a powerful light is shining and it will find you no matter what dark crevice you slither into. That I am not alone. That we stand together. And that good, love and truth prevails."
TWLOHA at GW stands in solidarity with and in support of all those who have experienced sexual harassment and/or assault. What a powerful thing it is for hundreds and thousands of people to come forth and share their stories in order to show how magnanimous of issues sexual assault and harassment are in today's society. You are brave, and you are special. You are beautiful, and you are loved.
