We wrapped up our last event of our •JOYFUL• series today with Powerful! 💙 A day spent empowering the hero within us with our wellness tables and thanking our heroes both overseas and right here on campus!

Like Moniker Madness, but better 🥳 Thanks for voting in our initial round on our stories…now, for the Finals!! Before you leave your vote in the comments, let us tell you a bit about each name!

1: Zingers
The Zinger is our signature sandwich at the cafe, but it connotes more. With vibes of a welcoming Jewish home (“I’ll see you for Shabbat dinner at the Zinger’s house!”), we also think of great conversations where ‘zingers’ fly - all feel at ease and comfortable to laugh and be their authentic selves.

2: The Sandwich Rabbi
The famous Passover sandwich eaten at every seder is known as a ‘Hillel Sandwich’ - a creation derived from the teaching of our namesake Rabbi Hillel. The name is light, while also inviting learning and further conversation about our collective past and our future.

3: Kibitz Cafe
The yiddish word, Kibitz, means to ‘speak informally’ or ‘to chat’. We hope that each day, the cafe (and Hillel) will be a space for endless kibitzing, helping our students feel at home during their time at GW.
