School of STAMP at Gallaudet

Last Friday, the School of STAMP at Gallaudet hosted STAMP Day, where our students shared posters and TV presentations about their internship experiences. It was great to see our students show off what they've done!

Last Friday evening, the Astronomy Club had a telescope night event with hot chocolate/peppermint candy canes/s'mores. Nicolas Conway is both the vice-president and the Guardian of the Telescope, he forwarded the images and a movie of the moon shown here! If you are interested in astronomy-related topics, consider joining the Astronomy Club which was just created this year.

The telescope was a donation from the DC Space Grant from before COVID - all participating universities/colleges got one. They work very well with light pollution!

Check out our Program Support Specialists, Stephen DePetro and Charmaine Mendonsa wearing the STAMP Summer Bridge shirt! Several of our STAMP faculty and staff have been working hard on this summer program since before COVID! Summer Bridge is an opportunity for incoming freshmen students who are interested in STEM to get hands on experience in different fields over 4 weeks! They are starting this week with cybersecurity!

Congratulations to the Gallaudet students who won the NAD College Bowl! Jonathan Summers is a Chemistry major and Thalia Guettler has taken classes with several biology and chemistry professors!
