One constant in the life of the Center for Social Justice is our VANS. Mini, full-size, green, grey, blue, named with a letter from the alphabet, and protected by St. Francesca Romana, the patron saint of drivers! Our vans get us to DC neighborhoods such as Chinatown, Deanwood, and Congress Heights.
Our fleet of vans is a community resource that we utilize to get to communities with whom we stand, sit, and STAY in solidarity.
CSJ is hiring for (federal work study- eligible) DRIVERS. Be a part of our University's commitment to the common good and work for social justice. Get to know DC in a radically new way. And meet some awesome Hoyas and DC folx along the way (and yes, now partnered/married Hoyas have met in in our vans).
Link in bio or go to csj.georgetown/operations and fill out the interest form for 1-1 evening drivers. You need to have had a valid driver's license for at least a year. FWS pay starts at $17.50/hour.
And hello alumni - these photos are from alternative break trips during spring 2015!

(B’24) is the Social Justice Send Off student speaker. They were deeply involved in social justice work at Georgetown.
“I promised myself I would try all of the things when I got here to Georgetown. And I did. But I feel most grateful for the opportunities to be involved in activities at Georgetown that brought me joy and community…I have been truly inspired by this passion of my fellow Hoyas, and all of you, my peers. As we gather here today, one day before receiving that very special piece of paper in this super challenging academic environment, I want to remind you to take this passion with you. Remember as I did this past year to do the things - not only as action - but those things deeply rooted in your soul that make your heart full.”

Today's JGI cohort reflective meeting brought us all closer together, by diving into discussions on our CSJ/Georgetown experiences and beyond!
We took a moment to reflect on the expectations we carried when we first set foot on our campus, discovering how they've manifested in our lives thus far. 💫 What truly resonated with us was our collective exploration of how to maintain the bonds that tie us to our friends and families, no matter how far they are from Georgetown. ❤️
These conversations left JGIs with a deeper sense of belonging and appreciation to our CSJ community! 🌟
