Are you interested in political, international relations, or advocacy? Are you looking for a tight-knit social and educational community? Do you want to discuss current events with students from across the country? If you said yes to any of these questions, AUMUN is the place for you.

For those interested, American University Model United Nations tryouts will be held across three different sessions on September 19th and September 20th. Prospective students only have to attend one session based on their availability. These tryouts will simulate a body of the United Nations, where each student is representing a different country.

The tryout is very open to students with no Model UN experience. To prepare those students, or any others looking for a refresher or guidance on the tryout, the AUMUN Team will be holding two MUN101 sessions. These will cover the basics of MUN as well as the tryout.

This past weekend, AUMUN packed their suits, notepads, and swim trunks and headed to LAMUN at UCLA for our final conference of the year! From late-night eats in Little Tokyo to soaking up the sun in Venice Beach, it was the perfect sendoff to an incredible season. We are so proud of all our delegates for their hard work this year!

This past weekend, AUMUN sent a fun-sized delegation to Williamsburg for &MUN, hosted by William & Mary, and came home with Best Small Delegation for the second year in a row (another plate for the dinner set 🍽️). From the peanut store runs to the endless search for baby lambs, we couldn’t be prouder of everything our delegates accomplished. 🦅

This past weekend, AUMUN traveled to Chicago to compete at ChoMUN hosted by the University of Chicago. Between numerous continental breakfasts and trips to the Bean, our team persevered and prevailed. We are so proud of our amazing delegates!
