June 25, 1950 – July 27, 1953

Seventy-one years ago today, on June 25, 1950, North Korea – supported by China and the Soviet Union – invaded South Korea. Korean War veterans gave their all for democracy and freedom to take hold in South Korea.

Please take a moment to remember Korean War veterans who answered the call to serve our country, lost their lives to protect our liberties and too often go unrecognized. All Americans owe our veterans a profound debt of gratitude for their service. We turn our focus on them at this special time and honor them as our national treasures.

Together, let’s remind Korean War veterans that they will not be forgotten.
