Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) provides scholarships and ongoing support to students who are underrepresented among the U.S. Applicants from groups underrepresented in study abroad are given preference, in an effort to make the demographics of US undergraduates studying abroad reflect the rich diversity of the US population. Today we wanted to highlight a fantastic Mentor/Mentee duo: Yasmin and Makeda! πŸ‘

Through our Peer Network Mentorship program, we matched Yasmin with Makeda: an international travel blogger and host of the podcast "The Sobe Pod", who explains how one of her goals through her work "was to encourage global travel within POC communities." With her experience in travel within South Korea, Makeda has provided valuable guidance during Yasmin's transition to life abroad. The two even had the opportunity to meet in person and spend time together! ✈
