Congratulations to Michel Fallah, the inaugural winner of the Stefano Vicini Dissertation Award! Michel, a Georgetown University School of Medicine medical student who did her Ph.D. research in Georgetown University: Neuroscience, credits Professor Vicini with helping her to find a research focus: Using electrophysiology, the measurement of neurons’ electrical activity, to try to unravel the mysteries underlying neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson’s disease.
