🏆 OCTOBER IS NATIONAL PRINCIPALS MONTH! 🏆

Six years ago, Friendship Ideal Campus was the youngest school in the Friendship Public Charter School system and one of the lowest-performing schools in the District.

Today, the story is very different. 💚

Under the leadership of Principal John Snowdy, the Emerald City has grown into one of DC’s top-performing elementary and middle schools, earning multiple DC Bold School Awards along the way. That transformation didn’t happen overnight—it took vision, high expectations, accountability, strong relationships, and a refusal to make excuses.

From Change Agent to Mentor, Motivator to Community Builder, Principal Snowdy has helped create a culture where excellence isn’t just the goal—it’s the expectation.

🏀💚 A SPECIAL VISITOR IN THE EMERALD CITY! 💚🏀

Today, Friendship Ideal Campus had the pleasure of welcoming DC Councilmember Janeese Lewis George to the Emerald City!

Councilmember Lewis George toured our campus alongside Friendship Public Charter School CEO Patricia Brantley, spending time with our scholars and getting an up-close look at the BIG DEAL happening at Ideal every day.

Of course, you can’t visit the Emerald City without stopping by The Warrior Den! 🎮🏀 And apparently, Councilmember Lewis George and Ms. Brantley decided that a friendly game of hoops needed to be added to the official itinerary. 😂

Now, we hear Councilmember Lewis George may be looking at a new office downtown 👀🏛️… but before any moving boxes get packed, we needed to see what that jump shot was looking like. 😂🏀

Thank you, Councilmember Lewis George and Ms. Brantley, for spending time with our Warriors and making today a memorable one!
