GRC serves as the Washington-based extension of research and sponsored programs staff at baccalaureate and graduate institutions of all types and sizes, including AASCU, APLU, CIC, and NAICU members. GRC staff provides funding expertise and promotes cross-sector relationship building to improve members' efficiency and foster more informed participation in the U.S. AASCU, the leadership association of 400 public colleges and universities, has been GRC's home since 1967.

GRC Webinars GRC hosts a minimum of two web conference training sessions per month. In many cases, especially involving short-turnaround grant competition deadlines, GRC web conferences present the only formal agency outreach.

The agenda includes a federal update by AASCU staff, National Institutes of Health sessions focused on policy updates and building research capacity, two sessions focused on the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Postsecondary Education, and a session featuring the assistant director of NSF's newest directorate, the Directorate for Technology, Innovation and Partnerships (TIP). Attendees can also join a town hall to connect with colleagues from around the country. GRC staff aims to make this event reminiscent of our in-person conference with added sessions and the possible opportunity for private consultations. Recordings will also be available to registrants about two weeks after the Virtual Funding Summit ends.
