If you are living on-campus or in the Neighborhoods (Georgetown, Burleith, Foxhall) as a student this semester, this information is for you! Please read through these slides that contain advice and feedback we’ve received from students written up this past semester. The SAO wishes everyone an enjoyable, safe, and responsible semester, and please remember that our actions impact more than just other Georgetown students.

Georgetown recently announced that students who fail to adhere to weekly testing requirements will receive Disciplinary Probation 1 (DP1). Swipe through our flyers to learn more about DP1 and fill out an exemption form if you can’t get tested!

SAO has worked closely with the Honor Council to understand their disciplinary procedures and sanctioning. After training our advocates this past month, our office is happy to announce that we are able to assist students on academic integrity cases. - there will not be a penalty for living in the Georgetown neighborhood this year (juniors will be allowed to live off campus their senior year, even if they live in the Georgetown neighborhood this year)
- the affirmation/ compact will help Georgetown to contact trace and test for COVID-19

Black Lives Matter. The Student Advocacy Office stands in solidarity with our fellow Black students and commits to advocating for institutional changes in DC and within the Georgetown community. In the coming weeks, we will be using our platform to advertise information and resources relevant to protesting and bias incidents on Georgetown’s campus.

This afternoon, university administrators announced that the school will be implementing new directives regarding social distancing measures that carry heightened sanctions for violations, including possible suspension for the remainder of the semester. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the new guidelines.

Freshmen, today is the LAST DAY to apply to the Student Advocacy Office! Please submit your applications by 11:59pm to be considered for a position in one of the best clubs on campus.

The SAO is made up of trained undergraduates that help other Georgetown University students navigate the school's disciplinary system through free and confidential advising, educate the student body about the rights afforded to them by the University, and advocate for changes to the Student Code of Conduct.
