📣Introducing Garett Mushaw, the new Chief Financial Officer at the University of the Potomac! 🎉 Garett joins UOTP with over 20 years of financial sector experience, specializing in educational institutions and bringing a proven record of success. His impressive track record includes driving an $8 million budget increase through strategic budgeting, staffing, and program management. As UOTP undergoes a period of tremendous growth, Garett’s addition to the leadership team will be invaluable to our continued development and success.

Garett’s commitment to excellence extends beyond his professional achievements. He is a passionate community member, active in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated, and Treasurer for Richmond’s Black History Museum. In his spare time, he enjoys collecting historical memorabilia, volunteering with nonprofits, and mentoring young professionals.

We are excited to have him on board and look forward to his leadership in enhancing UOTP’s financial success and growth! 🙌

Excited to share that the University of the Potomac proudly participated in the Summer Internship Program for the first time, partnering with the Mayor's Office in D.C. through the On-Ramps to Career initiative! Led by Dr. David Kimble, Dr. Sergei Andronikov, and Prof. Sara Hummel, this program introduced our intern, Jahnya Ross, to the world of Geospatial Information Technology (GIS). Jahnya completed an impressive GIS project that was presented to the On-Ramps leadership and earned UOTP two award nominations: The True Grit Nomination and The Innovative Nomination. Honored to be part of this incredible journey, preparing the next generation for success!
