Hello Yamasaki DC crew member!

Once again, we want to thank you all for being part of our Jiu-Jitsu family. We hope you and your loved ones are doing well during this time.

Also, we wanted to take a moment and let you know we’re extremely thankful for you keeping your membership throughout the pandemic! That has helped us to keep our instructors employed during this difficult time and helped us to keep our schools, so we can keep working with you once we’re allowed to. Thank you!

Although the DC government is not yet allowing us to go back to teaching we are very excited for when we go back sharing the mat with you once we can!

As you probably already know, Prof. Luis is no longer working with us. He's done a tremendous job teaching at our DC school for the past several years and is probably a big part of the reason why you've decided to train with us! Luis is one of our most technical students and we always knew you guys were in great hands.

Exciting news: once we reopen, Coach Wayne and I will take over the classes in DC.

Coach Wayne is a High School teacher who is extremely passionate about Jiu-Jitsu. He has been on the mat for well over a decade competing and teaching, holding a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and in Judo as well. Some of you may have met Coach Wayne already, as he has been helping us at our Rockville school since he relocated from NJ. He has such a great personality and is very knowledgeable about our sport, so I look forward to having him on the mat with us in DC!

I hope you'll enjoy training with Wayne and I in DC once we can reopen, so come see us and give us an opportunity to share Jiu-Jitsu with you.
