I’m a senior in the College from New York City majoring in History and minoring in Journalism. On campus, I’ve been a member of the Residential Judicial Council since my freshman year, and I’m also the Social Media Chair for the African Society of Georgetown. During my junior year at Georgetown, I started to document my natural hair journey on Instagram. By showcasing the beauty of embracing one’s natural hair, I’ve amassed over 20,000 followers and become a social media influencer by collaborating with haircare and cosmetic companies around the world.

Samuel Nelson (Cocoa Beach, FL) is entering his second year with Georgetown Stories, a social media project through the Office of Communications. A sophomore internal-transfer to the MSB, he also enjoys sharing his life on the Hilltop through GAAP.
