Capitol Hill Christian Academy

Our school was selected to represent Washington, D.C. for the official state Christmas tree at the White House this year! Our artwork will be featured on the Washington, D.C. state tree in the President’s Park. This is a beloved holiday tradition, that features a tree from each U.S. state and the District of Columbia. Ornaments are designed by one school chosen from each state. Our artwork was inspired by what we love learning about: our nation’s capital, its historic monuments, and, as a Christian school, the true reason we celebrate Christmas: the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ. Aslan is on the move at CHCA! We are incredibly thankful to have been able to host fundraiser at the Museum of the Bible with a performance of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. And then we had the privilege of hosting a Royal State visit from the King of Narnia himself, Aslan! 🦁👑

We are so thankful for a great and full month! 🍁 We had an encouraging parenting seminar, a wonderful Reformation Day celebration, and our Head of School, Annie Hsiao, spoke at Chapel for Patrick Henry College!

We’re so thankful for being able to finish our first year of school with a commencement ceremony! We had a great time celebrating with friends and family ❤️

We had a wonderful time discussing the future of education with U.S. Senator Tim Scott and South Carolina State Superintendent of Education, Ellen Weaver! Heritage Foundation, trustee, John Coleman opened the time with a video message about the importance of Christian education for our country and Senator Tim Scott closed the time with a powerful prayer for CHCA. Last month, we celebrated Grandparents’ Day! 🎉 Our students had lots of fun interviewing their grandparents and then sharing with us what they learned! We learned about how we honor God when we honor our family, especially when He has given as examples with good life lessons to share — the wisdom they pass down is a gift to us!

Back before Christmas, our students got to spend time learning and celebrating the first Christmas! And on top of that we even had a special guest speaker from the secret service who gave us all tshirts and now they all think they’re in training for the service 🫡🇺🇸⭐️🎄✨
