Today, 65 future EMS clinicians are off to undertake the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) written and practical examinations. These individuals have shown unwavering dedication at
The GW Medical Faculty Associates training center this summer, honing their life-saving skills in service to the needs of District of Columbia residents.
Amongst them are aspiring doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals, and include beneficiaries of the DC Department of Health High Needs Healthcare Scholarship. This grant is more than just an accolade; it symbolizes a pledge. In exchange for the training, these committed individuals will contribute their expertise to DC EMS agencies for a minimum of two years, directly tackling the demand for proficient EMS professionals in the Nation's Capital.
