Dr. Luisa Boyarski, Associate Director of CPNL, provided a keynote address for nonprofit executive directors and board members from Argentina and Uruguay earlier this week. Dr. Boyarski discussed the relationship between nonprofits and government, strategies for social change, and characteristics of effective leadership with the delegation. This engagement continues the Center's work to support nonprofit leaders as they work to advance the public good throughout the world.

Registration for the 2025 Nonprofit Management Executive Program Information Session is now open! The program provides nonprofit and public leaders the tools they need to serve their communities and advance the public good. Topics include financial management, leading systems change, diversity, equity, and inclusion, organizational leadership, and more. Participants also complete a capstone project which directly supports their work in their organizations. Join us to hear from alumni and our renowned faculty, and meet other prospective participants. The Information Session will be held on Wednesday, October 16 at 5:30 ET via zoom. Applications for the Program are due by December 6, 2024.

The Center partnered with the U.S. Department of State's Middle East Partnership Initiative and Georgetown's Center for International Education and Development to host the Student Leaders Program. Fifteen students from across the Middle East and North Africa came to Georgetown for a month of rigorous leadership and civic engagement training. Dr. Luisa Boyarski, Associate Director of CPNL, taught sessions on program design and strategy, evaluation, fundraising, and contingency planning. She also moderated a panel with representatives from NDI and IRI. The students developed community engagement projects focused on addressing climate change in the MENA region.
