What a summit! Mayor Bowser and the Office of Women’s Policy held their 6th annual Maternal and Infant Health Summit. This year’s program focused on working women and best practices for employers of expectant mothers and those returning to the workforce as well as reimagining what is covered by insurance. And the best part: Tiffany Haddish joined the ladies to share her personal story the only way she knows how: with honesty, humor and love.

Biggest takeaway: there is still a lot more work to do but the Mayor, her cabinet and the Council are moving in the right direction.

The purpose of the pledge is to unite our community and display the power of our collective compassion by supporting the national effort. By signing, AMC has committed to promoting the health and safety of the people we work with by supporting COVID-19 vaccination efforts.

For each organization signing the pledge by March 31, CareFirst is donating $1,000—up to $1 million—to support several regional community organizations on the frontlines of the vaccine effort.
