I'm teaming up with neighbor Frank Malone and 100 Fathers Inc. on a fun-filled event for the family. We're calling on all fathers to join us at on May 22nd to support our young people through a field day. We keep our communities safe.

Happy to all DC teachers! I stopped by schools this morning to ensure our teachers had a great start to the day. Shoutout to Langley, Brookland Middle, Social Justice School and Stokes (not pictured) teachers. I’m doing drop-ins all week to show my appreciation.

I sent the following letter to my Council colleagues encouraging them to object to moving the Armed Forces Retirement Home and the Washington Hospital Center from Ward 5 to Ward 1. It is an unnecessary move that I’m proud to push back on with my Ward 5 neighbors.

This is disgusting on so many levels, and the lingering effects for these 3rd graders will remain. No one is born hating another person because of the color of their skin or their background or religion. It's taught. And we won't tolerate it here.
