Empowering students to visit the nation's capital.
Each year, AEF selects two 8th grade classrooms for a fieldtrip to the nation’s capital, one classroom from an underprivileged area within the United States and another from the DC metropolitan area. Also, the foundation, along with other hospitality organizations, will present the Gregory McCarthy Scholarship to a student at Hospitality High School of Washington, DC.

A huge thanks to all our member teams for playing in the 2nd Annual Capitol Hill Volleyball Classic Destination DC Tournament! Thanks to your donations, the tournament raised over $3,500 in support of the American Experience Foundation (AEF). AEF enriches lives of deserving students through inspirational travel experiences to Washington, DC and cultivates the next generation of hospitality industry professionals. AEF is the 501(c)(3) charity affiliated with Destination DC.

Destination DC members gathered to play on the courts of the Capitol Hill Volleyball Classic in celebration of the tournament's 10 years in DC and in support of the American Experience Foundation.

Awesome weekend hosting Swin Cash's Cash for Kids Foundation in partnership with SYTA: Student and Youth Travel Association. The kids had a blast, thanks to Big Bus Tours Washington DC, Buca di Beppo Washington, DC, Crescent Hotels & Resorts, Entertainment Cruises Washington DC, George Washington's Mount Vernon, Gunther Charters And Tours, Hardrock Cafe Washington D.C., International Spy Museum, Mid Atlantic Receptive Services, Newseum, and Pinstripes Bowling Bocce Bistro - Georgetown.
