Exposure creates elevation. Period.

We don’t just take our youth anywhere…
we place them in rooms that stretch them—
where ideas are challenged, voices are sharpened, and excellence is the standard.

Rooms where brilliance is loud.
Rooms where purpose is refined.
Rooms where they see exactly who they can become.

Because this is how legacy is built.

Not just through programs… but through proximity.
Proximity to excellence.
Proximity to power.
Proximity to possibility.

When our youth are in the right rooms, they don’t just observe… they rise.

This is intentional.
This is leadership.
This is how we shape the next generation.

💛❤️

This national cohort prepares African American women for nonprofit, corporate, and civic board service — with structured competency and board placement support.

40 seats.

Perseverance & Promise Legacy Scholarship

Legacy Scholarship Spotlight

Not every academic journey is polished.
Not every transcript tells the full story.
And not every setback defines the outcome.

The Perseverance & Promise Legacy Scholarship, established by Terri O’Neal Ford, recognizes students whose educational paths reflect resilience, determination, and growth — not perfection.

This scholarship was created for those who faced obstacles and chose to continue.
For those who paused, recalibrated, and kept moving.
For those who understand that perseverance is not weakness — it is strength in motion.

Because promise is often revealed through persistence.

If your journey required courage, discipline, and the decision to keep going, this opportunity was created with you in mind.

Full eligibility details and required materials are listed in the Kaleidoscope application.

Sherelle T. & Timothy Carper III Legacy Scholarship

Legacy Scholarship Spotlight

Brilliance deserves recognition. Excellence deserves opportunity.

The Sherelle T. & Timothy Carper III Legacy Scholarship honors the extraordinary legacy of Sherelle T. Carper, the 24th Past National President of NANBPWC, Inc., and a true trailblazer in aviation and leadership.

Sherelle T. Carper made history as the first African-American woman Air Traffic Controller in New York City and later as the first African-American woman Air Traffic Manager of the Dulles International Airport Control Tower. Her career stands as a powerful testament to perseverance, excellence, and breaking barriers in spaces where Black women have long been underrepresented.

This legacy scholarship reflects her commitment to leadership, visibility, and opportunity by supporting African-American women pursuing higher education and professional leadership in STEM, Aviation, Political Science, Communications, or Business Management.

Inspired by the enduring question of workplace equity highlighted in Hidden Figures, this scholarship challenges applicants to reflect on how African-American women are recognized today for their skills, motivation, and brilliance — and how they will help shape more equitable professional environments.
