Thanks to everyone who came out for our Spring Progressional Development event this week! 👔 It was wonderful to have open conversations centered on general networking, leveraging your networking, and job searching.

🗓️ A key highlight: Elon’s very own Lasse Palomaki, Associate Director of Career Services for Alumni, joined us! Lasse is available for an Alumni Career Advising Call (see our linktree for a calendly link!) and will be back in DC to meet with more alumni this July. Be on the lookout for that opportunity!

Join the DC Women of Elon alumni chapter for an evening of soccer, connection, and community! Everyone and anyone is welcome!🏟️

⚽️ We’re heading to Audi Field on Saturday, May 30th to cheer on the Washington Spirit as they take on the Seattle Reign. Kickoff is at 6:30 PM, and ALL are welcome to attend.

🥅 Before the game, we’ll gather for a casual pregame at Dacha Navy Yard starting at 5:00 PM. Come by to catch up, meet fellow alumni, and get ready for the match together. 🆓 Light bites and a first round will be provided while they last.

🎟️ Elon has secured a limited number of tickets in a reserved section for the match, available on a first-come, ❗️first-served basis at a discounted rate of $15 per person.❗️

March Madness is here!!! 🏀 As Conference Championship Week continues, it’s time to put together your best NCAA Basketball tournament brackets and compete with other DC area alums.

⛹️‍♂️ Mark your calendars, because it all starts this Sunday! Register using the l!nk in bi0, then you’ll get details on how to join our ESPN Fantasy groups. There will be prizes for the winning men’s and women’s brackets! ✨

❗️Deadlines: Complete your Men’s Tournament Challenge Bracket Entry is 12:15pm on Thursday, March 19th. The Women’s Tournament Challenge Bracket Entry deadline is 11:30am ET on Friday, March 20th.

Only completed brackets will be eligible for prizes. You will have the option to edit your entries at any time after they have been initially submitted, before the brackets lock at the above deadlines.

Ready to play ball? 🥎 Your Elon in DC Chapter is once again sponsoring a co-ed softball team to compete in its 17th season in the Capitol Alumni Network, a league made up of alumni chapters from across the country!

We want alumni of ALL skill levels to join our squad, as we take on alumni from JMU, UNC, Villanova, Michigan State, and UVA, just to name a few of our frequent foes. 😈

We will play a 12-game season (usually double-headers) on Saturday mornings in the area of the National Mall and Potomac Park in Washington. DC, starting in late April and wrapping up with a 48-team tournament in early-August. ☀️

We want alumni to join us, whether you can only play a few games or hope to play the entire season, and whether you have played baseball/softball your entire life or have never picked up a glove. And if you have a friend who wants to play that’s not an Elon alum, bring them along as well!! 👥

Join our chapter in building care packages for the student scholars in partnership with ScholarCHIPS! 📦

ScholarCHIPS was founded and is led by Elon alumna Yasmine Yarrington Brooks ‘15, and we are so pleased to have another opportunity to work with this group! ScholarCHIPS is the only organization in the DC region that works to provide college scholarships, mentorship, mental health supports, and a robust support network for children of incarcerated parents, inspiring them to complete their college education. 🎓

Supplies for the care packages will be provided, so just bring yourself and your friends! Feel free to stop by for as long as you can.
