Introducing the Trans Visibility Community Festival!
A new annual event, premiering this March at Spaces NoMa, the Trans Visibility Community Festival is a celebration of the lives, journeys, and creative works of the trans community. Free to attend and accessible to all ages, the festival will feature trans community advocacy organizations and resources, as well as a showcase of trans-created art and culture. These include screenings of several short films from America in Transition, an art gallery, and an open mic.
For more information, check out the festival website at transvisibilityfestival.com or email questions to [email protected].

Tomorrow we'll be celebrating the first annual International Pronouns Day! International Pronouns Day seeks to make asking, sharing, and respecting personal pronouns commonplace. Referring to people by the pronouns they determine for themselves is basic to human dignity, but many transgender and gender nonconforming people are regularly called by the wrong pronouns, which can lead them to feel invisible and marginalized.
