COVID19 MESSAGE UPDATE
Hello Parents, Staff & Friends,

We miss you all and hope that this communication finds you and your family well!
Like most of the DMV, we are still doing our part to support social distancing to help mitigate the spread of COVID19. Since March 17th,2020, we have been working remotely and monitoring the Coronavirus developments. We have reached a decision for NWSH to remain CLOSED until April 24th. This decision is in the best interest of the safety, health and well being of everyone, i.e. our employees, children and families. The Board and I will continue to assess the situation daily/weekly, and follow the lead and policy guidelines set by public health and the Mayor’s Office, for all DCPS and private charter schools. An official email blast will be sent to all our families this afternoon who may not have access to Facebook or social media.

NWSH CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19

Good Afternoon Families and Staff!NWSH WILL BE OPEN MONDAY, MARCH 16, 2020!

A decision regarding our closure was not reached on Friday, when the Center closed at the end of the day. By cob on Friday, we had not received policy guidelines from the Mayor’s office with closure recommendations for childcare centers. However, we have since been notified that while the final decision is up to private daycare operators, the Mayor’s Office is recommending closure.

On Monday, the Center will open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm to give us and the Board of Directors a chance to make a decision based on the Mayor’s recommendation pertaining to safety issues and containment of COVID-19!
