🚨📣 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟏𝟎𝟔 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞: The SAA strongly urges Congress to request the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation withdraw its Section 106 regulatory modifications. As written, the current regulatory modifications would result in drastic harm to archaeological sites and other historic properties while not resulting in improved project delivery times.

There are ways forward to achieve time and cost savings while not losing sight of the importance of protecting our heritage, which the SAA has outlined in our letter to the Chairmen and Ranking Members of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources and House Committee on Natural Resources.
