FNN Early Birds Book Club

March 2026. FNN Early Birds Book Club hosted book parties for almost 1,400 of our youngest scholars grades preK-2 at Friendship Public Charter School. Everyone got to choose a free book to take home, share with their friends in story circles or make videos telling about their new books. March 6, 2026. FNN Early Birds had lots of fun at book parties to celebrate Read Across American Week at Chamberlain Elementary. Thanks to a generous grant from Capitol Hill Community Foundation, 222 prek-2nd graders got to pick a free book to take home. Then some of our youngest scholars videotaped book reviews to show off their new books to family and friends. FRIENDSHIP NEWS NETWORK HOLIDAY BOOK PARTIES ARE UNDERWAY! 🤩😍🥰🤓😎🥳🥸 All prek-2nd graders at all Friendship Elementary Schools and Friendship Online picked a favorite book to take home and even got to meet Santa. Thanks to each and every volunteer who stopped by to read and everyone who donated more than 1,400 books...especially Our Kids Read, The Rashid Family Foundation, The Guttman Family Foundation, and the Capitol Hill Community Foundation. DECEMBER 6, 2024 The FNN EARLY BIRDS BOOK CLUB at Friendship Chamberlain Elementary had a blast at their holiday book parties🥳🥳🥳 sponsored by Friendship News Network. Everybody got to pick a brand new book to take home. Afterwards, they made video book reviews on their youtube channel to tell about their books🤩🤩🤩. Many thanks to the Capitol Hill Community Foundation 😍😍😍 who have provided all the books for the parties since 2018!

July 2024. This summer, FNN EARLY BIRDS BOOK CLUB met Friday afternoons after school at Friendship Chamberlain Elementary. All prek-2nd graders picked favorite books to take home. They had lots of fun at their book parties with parents, teachers and staff. Come back for their new video book reviews this October. DECEMBER, 2023. Our youngest scholars (grades prek-2) had lots of fun at The FNN Early Birds Book Club holiday party at 6 Friendship Elementary Schools in Washington, DC. Everyone picked out a favorite book to take home for the holidays. Teachers, parents, volunteers and older students were on hand to read the new books, munch cookies and act silly. BOOKS FOR THE SUMMER FROM THE FNN ONLINE BOOK CLUB! Our youngest scholars (grades prek-2) at Friendship Armstrong, Blow Pierce and Southeast Elementary Schools had lots of fun choosing their new books to show off and take home for summer. At Blow Pierce, they even took the party outside. Staff and parents were on hand for story circles and cookie-munching. See you next year!!!!!!

May 25, 2023. The FNN Online Book Club at Friendship Chamberlain Elementary had it's last book party for the school year. December 9th, 2022. The FNN Online Book Club started the holiday season off at Chamberlain Elementary with book parties for all prek-2nd grade students. Thanks to a generous grant from the Capitol Hill Community Foundation each student got to take home a favorite book to keep. They're now in the process of making video reviews of their favorite books coming soon.
