Veterans Day honors all individuals who have served in the United States Armed Forces, both living and deceased. It acknowledges their sacrifices, courage, and dedication to the country. This holiday is a time to thank living veterans for their service. Its origins trace back to "Armistice Day," which commemorated the end of World War I on November 11, 1918.

Veterans Day is a celebration of everyone who has worn a military uniform, regardless of whether their service was during wartime or peacetime. It began as Armistice Day in 1919 to mark the end of World War I, with the date and time symbolizing the cessation of hostilities at "the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month."

The day serves as a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by veterans and their families, fostering a deeper appreciation for their commitment to protecting the nation. Let us never forget the sacrifices they have made for us.

The September 11 attacks, also known as 9/11 or Nine-eleven, were four coordinated Islamist terrorist su***de attacks by al-Qaeda against the United States in 2001. Nineteen terrorists hijacked four commercial airliners, two of which were flown into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City and the third into the Pentagon, which is the headquarters of the U.S. Department of Defense, in Arlington County, Virginia.

The fourth plane crashed in a rural Pennsylvania field, at the site of the present-day Flight 93 National Memorial, during a passenger revolt. In response to the attacks, the United States waged the global war on terror over multiple decades to eliminate hostile groups deemed terrorist organizations, as well as the governments purported to support them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_11_attacks

Father's Day is a celebration that honors fathers, highlights fatherhood, and acknowledges the vital role fathers play in society. The first Father's Day was celebrated in Washington state on June 19, 1910. However, it wasn't until 1972, 58 years after President Woodrow Wilson made Mother's Day an official holiday, that Father's Day became a nationwide holiday in the United States. Happy Father's Day to all!

Memorial Day (originally known as Decoration Day) is one of the federal holidays in the United States for honoring and mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It is observed on the last Monday of May.

While the official start of summer is on the summer solstice (June 20th in 2025), Memorial Day (the last Monday in May) is often considered the unofficial start of summer in the United States. This holiday marks a three-day weekend, and many people use it to travel, start summer vacations, and enjoy outdoor activities like barbecues and picnics.

It is a day for visiting cemeteries and memorials to mourn the military personnel who died in the line of duty. Volunteers will place American flags on the graves of those military personnel in national cemeteries. Others, such as family and friends, will also come to lay flowers and grieve at the graves of those who died in the US military.

Part of our commitment is to keep you and the roads safe by educating DWI/DUI offenders about the dangers of driving under the influence. We offer small class sizes in a professional environment. For some, this class can be taken to obtain a driver’s license after it has been suspended.

All classes are close to public transportation. Immediate Certificates are available upon completion, and referral services are available upon request. It is hoped that by providing a basic knowledge curriculum, those convicted will be provided with the information necessary to make more informed decisions in the future.

The current curriculum and clinical approach employed by Aboutface DUI follows the mainstream Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach commonly found in counseling psychology, which emphasizes the recognition and awareness of one’s substance use problems.
