Located on the Halifax Community College campus, students who attend RVEC can earn both a high school diploma and an associates degree from Halifax Community College. The Roanoke Valley Early College is a public high school located on the campus of Halifax Community College in Weldon, NC. The school is a partnership between the college and Weldon City Schools, and students enrolled at RVEC have th

e opportunity to earn both an Associate's Degree as well as a high school diploma, all for free. The school is built around a rigorous curriculum of honors courses, and a wrap around system of supports that allow our students to excel academically. News and World Report as one of the nation's best high schools for 4 years in a row- 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016! Currently, the school has the highest school report card grade out of all the schools in the Roanoke Valley.

The Center for Energy Education invites the community to our FREE Back-to-School Bookbag Giveaway on Saturday, August 8. We will distribute bookbags filled with school supplies to local students while supplies last.
