Substance use disorders touch every community, every healthcare setting, and countless lives.
At the Institute on Substance Use Disorders, student pharmacists from across the country came together to learn from experts, hear powerful personal stories, and explore how we can better support patients through evidence-based care, empathy, and advocacy.
The conversations didn't end when the Institute did. We leave with new perspectives, meaningful connections, and a renewed commitment to making a difference in the lives of those affected by substance use disorders. 🫶⛰️

The APhA-ASP University of Kansas chapter annually hosts Boo at the Zoo where they spend the day dressed up in costumes teaching kids and their parents all about the similarities between medicine and candy appearances, providing resources, and bringing awareness to resources that are easily accessible.
