Did you know that September is National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month?

Su***de affects millions of people each year, yet too many struggle in silence.
This month is dedicated to recognizing the warning signs for su***de, encouraging open conversations about mental health, and connecting people to support.

Please join me in sharing a message of strength, dignity, hope, and connection — together, we can make a difference and save lives.

Key Facts
About 5.5% (1 in 18) US adults age 18 and older had serious thoughts about su***de in 2024 (SAMHSA)

Su***de was the 11th leading cause of death overall in the US in 2023 (NIMH, using CDC data)

Su***de was the 2nd leading cause of death among individuals aged 10 to 34, and the 4th leading cause of death among individuals aged 35 to 44 in 2023 (NIMH, using CDC data)
