**IMPORTANT: As of this edit, the composite has been claimed. Thank you for your interest and engagement!**

A message from our chapter advisor, Jeff Sharp:

“Brothers,
The Smeal College is having me move my administrative office into my teaching office. So with the upcoming tight quarters, I need to see if anyone would like the 2002-2003 Brotherhood Composite. It is nicely framed and LARGE. I don’t have a tape measure but it appears to be about 3 feet wide (maybe a few inches less). If it is not claimed by May 9, I will need to turn it over to PSU and who knows what happens to it after that. I really would like to see it go to a brother’s home. If interested, please let me know asap.
Fraternally,
Jeff”

Please reach out to myself at (724)-612-9335 if interested.

Today some of our brothers attended the Penn State Service and Leadership Award Ceremony to accept our award for Outstanding Program of the Year! Penn State Student Affairs highlighted our collaborative community service event with the other Business Fraternities where we made bracelets for the kids of Camp Kesem. Thank you to .berk for helping create this event & many others that helped lead us to this award!

Up next for is Bri Wistar! Bri is studying abroad in Florence, Italy. Bri has been able to travel to Switzerland, Hungary, France, Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Austria, the Netherlands and Croatia. Here are Bri’s thoughts about her time abroad, “My favorite thing about studying abroad is the countless opportunities to step out of your comfort zone. It’s easy to go right home after class, spend time with American students, and frequent the same places throughout your time abroad, but that would be such a limited experience. Stepping out of my comfort zone has provided me a deeper understanding of other cultures and has allowed me to learn so much about myself. Taking leaps can often be nerve racking, but the rewards are invaluable.”

Our first brother for is David Weiss! David has been able to study abroad in Singapore. During this time he has gotten to travel to Indonesia, Thailand, & Myanmar. Here is a quote from David about his favorite part about studying abroad: “Without a doubt, my favorite part of studying abroad has been experiencing new cultures. First, taking classes and going through daily life on the other side of the world opens your eyes to how differently things are done. Secondly, traveling through different cities as well as hiking in remote villages has allowed me to experience completely different lifestyles. I have learned so much and have been able to take advantage of experiences I otherwise would not have had.”

This past summer our Vice President of community service, Samantha Berk, started an organization called Wrist to Wrist where volunteers “band together” to support various causes including but not limited to sick children, people in impoverished countries, and today the children of camp Kesem! Camp kesem is a community in the US that supports children who have parents with cancer. Today we partnered with Penn State’s other business fraternities, PGN, PBL, PCT, and AKPsi to make over a hundred bracelets!
