“The Long and Winding Recovery” was recently published in the winter edition of National Parks Magazine (), on which CJR made the cover! The article looks at the history of the and details some of the efforts that are underway to make it more accessible. Check out the article which is linked in our bio. Many thanks to the National Parks Conservation association, photographer Tyrone Turner and writer Rona Merch for including CJR! We’re excited to work with next Monday to help with efforts to keep the river and surrounding areas clean!
CJR was well represented at today’s New Year’s Day half marathon! Rowers, coaches, Scott who is dad of Merritt and Grant, and team alum Atticus all participated, kicking off 2024 with a bang! #21097
Who said pools can only be used for swimming?!? Last week we delivered a training scull (thoroughly cleaned before placing in pool) to so kids could learn the basics of the rowing stroke while at school! This class is part of the school’s when students can try out new/different things!
This turned out to be even better than we ever could have imagined, with students being super excited to give it a try! We’ll have these folks in boats on the before you know it! Many thanks as always to for helping to facilitate this relationship and the school administration which has been super involved with getting this up and running. It’s also super helpful that we have a former rower on staff at the school. We’re trying to get her to come row with the Masters rowers!
Coaches even got a chance to play around in the pool before and after the class!
Over the past couple of weeks Coaches Michele, John and Andy have had a blast getting to know some of the students at in in their swimming and rowing class!
Continued collaboration with a fellow member of has made this possible. Wondering how we’re doing the rowing portion of this class? Check back here shortly!!
So great to see these CJR alums over the weekend! We were able to launch 2 quads and a double! If you were not able to make this one stay tuned for future alumni events!
