Workers are on site this week from 7am-6pm and have accomplished a lot. The new pipes are installed and are now awaiting tonal finishing to be completed later in the week. Explanations are found in the photo captions.
You can hear these wonderful new sounds at the 11am Mass on Sunday. Look for a video to be posted soon, as well.

Last week Catholic Ministry received a delivery of a new Processional Crucifix and four new candle stands. They were custom made for Georgetown by Bramante Studios of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, thanks to the generosity of our donors.
New Processional Crucifix
———————————————Because of its large size, this new processional crucifix will be used for all University Masses, such as those on Healy Lawn, in McDonough, or Gaston Hall. It was built with a larger corpus (body of Christ) so that it is more visible in larger venues, and stands as a stronger symbol.
The cross itself is made of a combination of cherry wood and oak and includes two bases for increased usability and care. The corpus is hand-carved out of Lindenwood and finished to resemble bronze.
New Candle stands
———————————————
These four new candle stands were made for Copley Crypt Chapel of the North American Martyrs in Copley Hall. This is one of the final pieces of the recent renovation of this chapel and they will be used at both the ambo (lectern) and the altar table.
The candle stands are made of cherry wood and oak with brass finishes for the candles themselves.
